Camshaft Cover Installation

Special Tools

KM-6009 Remover/Installer





1. Insert a NEW gasket in the camshaft head cover.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

2. Install the camshaft cover (1) and bolts (2).

Tighten the 11 bolts to 8 N.m (71 lb in).





3. Install the engine venting pipe (1).
4. Connect the 2 quick-release fittings.




5. Attach the engine management wiring harness to the intake manifold.

* Connect the wiring trough (2).
* Clip the wiring harness (1) into the guide.

6. Install the ignition module.





Important: When installing a new DIS ignition module, it is not necessary to replace the gaskets.


7. Replace the gaskets (2).




8. Using the KM-6009 (1), install the DIS ignition module.
9. Install the 2 bolts.

Tighten the bolts to 8 N.m (71 lb in).

10. Fit the DIS ignition module cover.




11. Connect the DIS ignition module wiring harness plug (2).
12. Clip the engine wiring trough (1) to the cylinder head.
