Hood Primary Latch Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the hood latch cable.

* Remove the bolt (1).
* Remove the clamp.
* Remove the cable from the hood latch (2) and lay aside.





2. Remove the hood latch.
Detach the hood latch (1) from the top of the front, in direction of arrow.




3. Rotate the hood latch 90 degrees (1).
4. Remove the hood latch in direction of arrow (2).



Installation Procedure

1. Install the hood closure.

* Insert the hood closure.
* Install the hood closure to the top front.

2. Install the hood latch cable.

* Install the cable to the hood latch.
* Install the clamp.


Tighten the bolt to 1.5 N.m (13 lb in).



Important: The hood latch must return to its initial position after actuation from any setting.


3. Adjust the hood latch cable.
Adjust the cable so that there is no clearance where the end nipple rests against the hood latch.
