Mobile Telephone Antenna Replacement

Removal Procedure

Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution (Battery Disconnect Caution) .
1. Disconnect the battery.
2. Remove the windshield garnish molding. Refer to Windshield Garnish Molding Replacement (Service and Repair) .




3. Remove the instrument panel (I/P) compartment.

* Open the I/P compartment cover.
* Remove the 4 bolts (1).
* Disconnect the wiring harness plug.
* Remove the I/P compartment.





4. Remove the windshield antenna.

* Remove the windshield antenna with a plastic wedge.
* Guide the wiring harness (1) with the antenna through the instrument panel padding.

5. Disconnect the antenna cable.



Installation Procedure

1. Connect the cable.
2. Install the windshield antenna.

* Route the wiring harness through the I/P padding to the top of the A-pillar.
* Install the antenna in the left upper area of the windshield with adhesive.

3. Insert the I/P compartment.
Connect the wiring harness plug.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

4. Fasten the I/P compartment.

Tighten the 4 screws to 4 N.m (35 lb in).

5. Install the windshield garnish molding. Refer to Windshield Garnish Molding Replacement (Service and Repair) .
6. Connect the battery.
7. For reprogramming procedures, refer to Control Module References (Programming and Relearning) .
