Stabilizer Shaft Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the tire and wheels.
3. Remove the exhaust muffler hangers.
4. Remove the fuel tank heat shield from the rear suspension support.
5. Remove both stabilizer link to trailing bar bolts.
6. Remove the rear stabilizer bar to support assembly clamp bolts.
7. Remove the stabilizer bar from the rear support assembly.
8. Remove the stabilizer bar clamps from the stabilizer bar.
9. Remove the insulators from the stabilizer bar.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the insulators to the stabilizer bar.
2. Install the stabilizer bar clamps to the stabilizer bar.
3. Position the stabilizer bar to the rear support assembly.
4. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
Install the stabilizer bar clamp to support assembly bolts.
^ Tighten the bolts to 55 Nm (41 ft. lbs.).
5. Install both stabilizer link to trailing bar bolts.
^Tighten the bolts to 55 Nm (41 ft. lbs.).
6. Install the fuel tank heat shield to the rear suspension support.
7. Install the exhaust muffler hangers.
8. Install the tire and wheels.
9. Lower the vehicle.
