Seat Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement - Front (With J-Strip)

SEAT CUSHION COVER AND PAD REPLACEMENT - FRONT (W/ J-STRIP)

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the front seat.
2. Remove the inner recliner finish panel.
3. Remove the outer finish panel.




4. Remove the recliner fasteners.
5. Remove the seat back assembly.




6. Remove the seat cover J-strip from the seat frame at the back of the cushion.




7. If the vehicle is equipped with a heated seat, disconnect the heated seat wiring connector from the seat frame harness.




8. Remove the fasteners and remove the seat cushion frame from the seat adjuster.




9. Remove the seat cushion trim cover and pad from the seat cushion frame.




10. Pull the seat cushion trim cover up from the pad to expose the hog rings.
11. Remove the hog rings and remove the trim cover from the pad.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the seat cushion trim cover to the pad and install the hog rings.
2. Complete the installation of the trim cover to the pad.
3. Install the seat cushion frame to the cover and pad.




4. Install the frame to the seat adjuster and install the fasteners.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten the fasteners to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).




5. Connect the heated seat wiring connector to the seat frame harness.




6. Install the seat cushion cover J-strip to the seat frame at the back of the cushion.




7. Install the seat back assembly and install the recliner fasteners.

Tighten the fasteners to 35 N.m (26 lb ft).

8. Install the outer finish panel.
9. Install the inner recliner finish panel.
10. Install the front seat.
