Impact Bar Replacement - Rear Bumper

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the rear bumper fascia. Refer to Fascia Replacement - Rear Bumper (Service and Repair) .




2. Remove the energy absorber. Refer to Energy Absorber Replacement - Front (Service and Repair) .
3. Remove the bolts from the impact bar.
4. Remove the impact bar.



Installation Procedure





1. Position the impact bar to the rear end structure.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the impact bar retaining bolts.

Tighten the bolts to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).

3. Install the energy absorber. Refer to Energy Absorber Replacement - Rear (Service and Repair) .
4. Install the rear bumper fascia. Refer to Fascia Replacement - Rear Bumper (Service and Repair) .
