Impact Bar Replacement - Front Bumper

Removal Procedure

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
2. Remove the front fascia. Refer to Fascia Replacement - Front Bumper (Fascia Replacement - Front Bumper) .
3. Remove the energy absorber. Refer to Energy Absorber Replacement - Front (Service and Repair) .




4. Remove the electrical harness clip from the impact bar.




5. Remove the nuts that secure the impact bar to the lower tie bar.
6. Remove the impact bar from the lower tie bar.



Installation Procedure





1. Position the impact bar to the lower tie bar.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the nuts to the impact bar.

Tighten the nuts to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).





3. Install the electrical harness clip to the impact bar.
4. Install the energy absorber. Refer to Energy Absorber Replacement - Front (Service and Repair) .
5. Install the front fascia. Refer to Fascia Replacement - Front Bumper (Fascia Replacement - Front Bumper) .
6. Lower the vehicle.
