Radio Replacement



RADIO REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Pull out on the accessory trim plate in order to release the retaining fasteners.




2. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the accessory trim plate.




3. Remove the screws from the radio and pull the radio out.




4. Disconnect the radio electrical connectors and remove the radio.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Place the radio in the vehicle and connect the radio electrical connectors.




2. Push the radio into position and install the screws.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten the screws to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).




3. Connect the electrical connectors to the accessory trim plate.




4. Align the retaining fasteners with the instrument panel.Push on the outer edge of the accessory trim plate in order to secure the retaining fasteners.
5. Set up the radio. Refer to Radio Setup.



RECEIVER REPLACEMENT - DIGITAL RADIO

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

1. Remove the rear compartment trim panel.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT swap digital radio receivers between vehicles. Swapping digital receivers between vehicles will activate the digital radio Theftlock(R), and "XM Theftlock(R)" will display.




2. Disconnect the wire connector (1).
3. Disconnect the coaxial cables from the receiver.
4. Remove the receiver from the bracket assembly.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the receiver to the bracket assembly.
2. Connect the coaxial cables.
3. Connect the wire connector (1).
4. Install the rear compartment trim panel.
5. Perform the setup procedure for the digital radio receiver. Refer to Digital Radio Receiver Setup.
