Test 1-5:

Circuit Description
Ground is continuously supplied to the low side of the ABS pump motor. The EBTCM activates the ABS pump motor by energizing the pump motor relay, allowing battery voltage to the high side of the motor.

Conditions for Running the DTC
The ignition is ON.

Conditions for Setting the DTC
The EBCM detects an open or shorted pump motor circuit, or a fault in the pump motor relay.

Action Taken When the DTC Sets
^ The ABS telltale will be on.
^ The ABS control module will disable the ABS, the TCS and the DRP.

Conditions for Clearing the DTC
The Conditions for Setting the DTC are no longer present and you use the scan tool Clear DTCs function.

Diagnostic Aids
The pump relay and motor are NOT serviceable. The valve assembly (with control module) must be replaced.
