Oil Level Indicator Tube Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Raise the vehicle.
2. Unclip the electrical wiring harness from the oil level indicator tube.
3. Lower the vehicle.
4. Remove the oil level indicator tube bolt and unclip the upper wiring harness.
5. Remove the oil level indicator tube.
6. Remove the oil level indicator tube seal.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the oil level indicator tube seal.
2. Install the oil level indicator tube.
3. Clip the upper electrical wiring harness to the oil level indicator tube.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
4. Install the oil level indicator tube bolt.
Tighten
Tighten the oil level indicator tube bolt to 10 Nm (89 lb in).
5. Raise the vehicle.
6. Clip the lower wiring harness.
7. Lower the vehicle.
