Front Intake Runner Replacement

TOOLS REQUIRED
- J 43914 Universal Clamp Pliers

REMOVAL




1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
2. Remove air cleaner inlet hose assembly from throttle body.

NOTE: Clamps are reusable if not damaged, do not discard.




3. Remove rubber boot hose clamps using Universal Clamp Pliers J 43914.




4. Remove intake runner mounting bolts.
5. Disconnect intake runner from rubber boots and remove intake runner.

INSTALLATION




1. Install rubber boots on intake runner.
2. Install intake runner mounting bolts.

Torque:
Intake Manifold Runner Bolts: 8 N.m (71 in-lbs)

NOTE: Inspect hose clamps for damage, replace if damaged.




3. Install rubber boot hose clamps using universal clamp pliers J 43914.




4. Install intake hose assembly.
5. Connect negative battery cable.

Torque:
Battery Terminal Bolts: 17 N.m (13 ft-lbs)
