33. Cylinder Head Disassemble

CYLINDER HEAD DISASSEMBLY

TOOLS REQUIRED
- J43963 Valve Spring Compressor (Off Vehicle)
- SA9102E-A Valve Seal Remover/Installer
- SA9124E Valve Spring Compressor/Remover





1. Remove lifters. Place lifters sequentially in rack so that they can be installed in their original order, if being reused.
2. Use Valve Spring Compressor/Remover SA9124E and Valve Spring Compressor (Off Vehicle) J43963 to compress valve springs.





3. Remove valve stem keys.
4. Remove cap from valve stem.
5. Remove valve spring.





6. Remove valve seal using Valve Seal Remover/Installer SA9102E-A.
7. Remove valve spring seat from cylinder head.
8. Remove valves. Place valves sequentially in rack so that they can be installed in their original order, if being reused.
