Rear Seat Back Frame/Cover/Pad - Driver Side

REMOVAL




1. Remove rear seat back assembly.
2. On wagon, remove rear seat back beam. Refer to "Rear Seat Back Beam-Wagon Removal" procedure.




3. Using a flat blade screwdriver, gently pry up to remove rear seat back escutcheon.
4. Starting at rearmost portion, pull upward to remove rear seat latch escutcheon.




5. Pull seat back cover J-strip off of rear seat back panel.




6. Remove rear seat back outer hinge from seat back.
7. Using a trim tool, remove rear seat back panel retainers and lift up rear seat back panel cover.




8. Lay cover face down and lift up back panel to disengage rear seat back cover rear upper attachment.




9. Remove center arm rest fastener and remove arm rest.
10. Remove rear seat back cover hog rings from foam and remove cover/pad.

INSTALLATION




1. Transfer new seat back pad to new cover.




2. Position rear seat back cover/pad onto rear seat back panel making sure the seat back pad is properly installed over seat back latch.
3. Fold seat back cover upper attachment strip into rear seat back panel.
4. Install rear seat back outer hinge with outer hinge fasteners.

Torque:
Rear Folding Seat Back Center Hinge Fasteners: 20 N.m (15 ft-lbs)





5. Install rear seat back cover rear panel with retainers.
6. Install back cover.




7. Install rear seat back cover J-strip over seat back panel.




8. Starting at the rearmost portion of the escutcheon, locate rear tab into latch assembly. Push down to fully secure escutcheon.
9. Snap seat back cover escutcheon onto seat back.




10. On station wagon, install rear seat beam. Refer to "Rear Seat Back Beam-Wagon Installation" procedure.




11. Install rear seat back to vehicle.
