Refrigerant Pressure Sensor / Switch: Service and Repair

A/C PRESSURE SENSOR

REMOVAL




1. Ignition Off.
2. Disconnect A/C pressure sensor harness connector.

IMPORTANT: There is a valve in the refrigerant line that will close when the sensor is removed to keep refrigerant from escaping.

3. Using a back-up wrench to support the refrigerant line, remove A/C pressure sensor.

INSTALLATION

NOTE: Do not use PAG Oil.




1. Lubricate pressure port O-ring with mineral oil.
2. Install A/C pressure sensor by starting to thread the sensor in by hand.
3. Use a back-up wrench to support refrigerant line, then tighten sensor.

Torque:
A/C Pressure Sensor: 7 N.m (62 in-lbs)

4. Connect A/C pressure sensor harness connector. Push connector in until a click is heard, then pull back to confirm engagement.
