Rear Compartment Lid Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Open decklid.




2. Unsnap drivers side wiring harness clip from decklid hinge.
3. Disengage decklid wiring harness from rear shelf panel.




4. If decklid is to be reinstalled, mark location of hinges relative to the decklid with a wax pencil or equivalent.
5. Remove one bolt from each side of hinge.
6. With aid of a helper to hold on to decklid, remove remaining two bolts from decklid hinges.
7. If decklid is to be replaced, remove wire harness from decklid and reinstall wire harness in the same position on the new decklid.





Installation Procedure




1. With aid of a helper, position decklid into place to install.




2. Snap drivers side wiring harness clip to decklid hinge.




3. Install one bolt on each side of hinge and snug.
4. Adjust decklid to previous marks made or align with surrounding panels.
5. Install remaining two bolts to decklid hinges and tighten.

Tighten the decklid-to-decklid hinge bolts to 10 Nm(89 lb in).




6. Install decklid wiring harness to rear shelf panel.
7. Close decklid.
