Exhaust Center Heat Shield

EXHAUST CENTER HEAT SHIELD

REMOVAL

CAUTION: MAKE SURE VEHICLE IS PROPERLY SUPPORTED AND SQUARELY POSITIONED ON HOIST.





1. Raise vehicle on hoist.
2. Remove exhaust resonator to exhaust manifold pipe bolts.





3. Remove heat shield to body attachment nuts.
4. Lower exhaust by removing some isolators and remove heat shield.

INSTALLATION
1. Position heat shield and install fasteners.
Torque:
Heat Shield-to-Body Attachment Nuts: 4 Nm (35 inch lbs.)





2. Position exhaust pipe and install isolators.





3. Install exhaust resonator to exhaust manifold pipe fasteners.
Torque:
Exhaust Manifold Pipe Bolts: 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.)
4. Lower vehicle from hoist.
5. Check exhaust system for leaks.
