Front Exhaust Manifold Pipe to Exhaust Manifold Gasket
FRONT EXHAUST MANIFOLD PIPE TO EXHAUST MANIFOLD GASKETREMOVAL
CAUTION: MAKE SURE VEHICLE IS PROPERLY SUPPORTED AND SQUARELY POSITION-ED ON HOIST. TO HELP AVOID PERSONAL INJURY, PROVIDE ADDITIONAL SUPPORT FOR THE VEHICLE ON THE OPPOSITE END FROM WHICH COMPONENTS ARE BEING REMOVED.
1. Raise vehicle on hoist.
2. Remove exhaust manifold to front exhaust manifold pipe fasteners.
NOTICE: Excessive movement of the pipe can damage the flex pipe.
3. Pull down front exhaust manifold pipe just enough to remove gasket
4. Remove old gasket and discard.
INSTALLATION
1. Install new gasket onto exhaust manifold studs.
2. Install front exhaust manifold pipe to exhaust manifold nuts and tighten.
Torque: Exhaust Manifold Pipe-to-Exhaust Manifold Nuts: 30 Nm (25 ft. lbs.)
3. Lower vehicle from hoist.
4. Check entire exhaust system for leaks.
