Front Oil Pump Seal Replacement

FRONT OIL PUMP SEAL REPLACEMENT

- TOOLS REQUIRED
- J3526SA Camshaft/Front Main Seal Installer





1. Using a seal remover or screwdriver, pry out the oil seal.
1.1. Ensure that seal bore is clean and free of debris. Clean if necessary.

IMPORTANT: Always ensure that the oil pump cover is properly supported when installing the seal.





2. Install oil seal:
2.1. Use Camshaft/Front Main Seal Installer-J35268A to tap the front main oil seal into place.
2.2. Ensure that front main oil seal is fully and evenly seated.
2.3. Apply a thin film of oil to the new seal lip.
