Removal

RIGHT ENGINE MOUNT AND BRACKET


- TOOLS REQUIRED
- J43405 Engine Support Fixture Adapter
- SA9150BR Engine Support Fixture

REMOVAL

1. Remove air cleaner assembly. (L81 shown, L61 similar)





1.1. Disconnect Manifold Air Flow (MAF) electrical connector.





1.2. Unsnap EVAP purge valve assembly and secure out of the way of air cleaner assembly.





1.3. Remove air cleaner lid:
1. Loosen hose clamp at throttle body.
2. Slide off flexible MAF hose to throttle body hose.
3. Unclamp air cleaner lid.
4. Remove air cleaner lid, MAF sensor, and hose as an assembly.
1.4. Remove air cleaner from air box.





1.5. Remove air box mount bolt.
1.6. Remove air box.





2. Install Engine Support Fixture SA9150BR (or equivalent) and Engine Support Fixture Adapter J43405 (or equivalent). (L61 shown)





3. Install engine support fixture SA9150E (or equivalent) and engine support fixture adapter J43405 (or equivalent). (L81 shown)





4. Remove engine mount to bracket fasteners.





5. Remove engine mount to body fasteners.
6. Remove engine mount from vehicle.

IMPORTANT: The L81 and L61 engines have different mount brackets. The follow steps show the different procedures.





7. Remove engine mount bracket to engine fasteners. (L81)
8. Remove engine mount bracket from vehicle.





9. Remove engine mount bracket to engine fasteners. (L61)
10. Remove bracket from vehicle.
