Harmonic Balancer - Crankshaft Pulley: Service and Repair

CRANKSHAFT BALANCER REPLACEMENT
(IN-VEHICLE)

REMOVAL





1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
2. Remove air cleaner assembly.
3. Remove accessory drive belt.

NOTICE: Removal of the engine mount is not necessary because the drive belt does not have to be removed from vehicle.

4. Remove crankshaft balancer bolts.
5. Remove crankshaft balancer from the crankshaft drive gear.

INSTALLATION





1. Install crankshaft balancer onto the crankshaft drive gear.
2. Install crankshaft balancer bolts.
Torque:
Crankshaft Balancer Bolt: 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.)
3. Install accessory drive belt.
4. Install air cleaner assembly.
5. Connect negative battery cable.
