Brake Fluid Resovoir

MASTER CYLINDER RESERVOIR

REMOVAL





1. Vehicles equipped with manual transaxles must disconnect clutch hydraulic feed line from master cylinder reservoir. Plug line to avoid leakage and contamination.





2. Remove low brake fluid switch electrical connector and remove switch by depressing tabs on opposite end of switch.
3. Syphon brake fluid from master brake cylinder reservoir.





4. Unclip reservoir hold down clamps and remove reservoir by pulling upward.
5. Remove reservoir seals.

INSTALLATION
1. Lubricate new reservoir seals with clean brake fluid and install into master cylinder.





2. Install reservoir into master cylinder. Be sure locking tabs are engaged.
3. Install low brake fluid switch and electrical connector.





4. Vehicles equipped with manual transaxles must install clutch hydraulic feed line to master cylinder reservoir.

NOTICE: Use only DOT 3 brake fluid from a clean, sealed container. Do not use any fluid from a container which is wet with water. Do not use DOT 5 silicone fluid.

5. Fill brake reservoir with clean brake fluid up to "MAX" mark on reservoir.
6. Bleed brake system.
