Console Replacement
REMOVAL1. Gently pull on left and right side console extensions to remove extensions.
On power windows
2. Using a small flat blade screwdriver, gently pry upward on rear portion of the power window switch to partially disengage switch from console.
3. Disconnect power window switch harness from switch and remove power window switch.
4. Disengage console park brake boot by squeezing the boot in while pulling upward.
5. Lift park brake boot over park brake assembly.
6. Remove front console tray by pulling upward on tray assembly.
7. Disconnect console wiring harness from main body harness located under front console tray.
On automatic transmissions
8. Pull up on PRNDL cover to disengage cover.
On 5-speed transmissions
9. Pull up on shifter boot to disengage boot.
10. Move front seats to forward most position and remove console rear fasteners.
11. Move front seats to rearward most position and remove console front fasteners.
12. Gently lift console up and over shifter or PRNDL cover and remove console assembly.
INSTALLATION
1. Position console into vehicle. Route shifter/PRNDL boot through console opening.
2. Install console front fasteners.
Torque:
Console Fasteners: 2.5 N.m (22 in-lbs)
3. Move front seats forward and install console rear fasteners.
Torque:
Console Fasteners: 2.5 N.m (22 in-lbs)
On automatic transmissions
4. Snap PRNDL cover into console opening.
On 5-speed transmissions
5. Snap shifter boot into console opening.
6. Snap console front tray into console.
7. Connect console wiring harness to main body harness located under front console tray.
On power windows
8. Connect power window harness to power window switch and snap switch into place.
9. Snap park brake boot into place.
10. Install console extensions.
