Fuel Tank Filler Door Latch Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Open the fuel tank filler door.
2. Remove the bolts holding the fuel tank filler door to the quarter panel.
3. Remove the fuel tank filler door from the quarter panel.

Installation Procedure

Important: On vehicles equipped with a locking fuel tank filler door, ensure that the latch seal does not interfere with the lock actuator rod.


1. Position the fuel tank filler door latch to the quarter panel.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the bolts holding the fuel tank filler door latch to the quarter panel and tighten.

Tighten the fuel tank filler door latch-to-quarter panel screws to 1 Nm (9 lb in).

3. Close the fuel tank filler door checking to ensure that the latch is working properly.
