Stop Lamp Switch

The stop lamp switch will set a diagnostic trouble code for certain fault conditions. The Scan tool can be used to verify proper signals to the PCM.





1. Check stop lamp switch connector for open, spread or corroded terminals.
2. Test switch by checking continuity across terminal A of switch and terminal D of switch. Continuity should be present with brake Off. Continuity should not be present with brake On. If damaged, replace switch.
