C0112
The pump motor is an integral part of the Brake Pressure Modulator Valve (BPMV). The system relay and pump motor driver is located in the Electric Brake and Traction Control Module (EBTCM). The system relay supplies power to the solenoids and pump motor whenever the ignition switch is in the RUN position. The pump motor driver switches the pump motor on during ABS operation.
CODE PARAMETERS
DTC C0112 will set if:
- System voltage is greater than 9 volts and the voltage across the pump is greater than 10 volts when the pump has been off of one second.
- Pump low side voltage is less than or equal to 2.7 volts for 0.2 seconds when the pump has been off for one second.
When the trouble code sets, ABS is disabled and the antilock telltale is turned on.
Dynamic rear proportioning (DRP) will only have the hold function.
DIAGNOSTIC AIDS
- It is very important to thoroughly inspect wiring components and connectors. Failure to carefully and fully inspect wiring and connectors may result in misdiagnosis, causing part replacement with reappearance of the malfunction.
Possible causes for DTC C0112 to set:
- Motor is shorted to ground.
- Failed EBTCM motor driver.
