Front Side Door Window Belt Outer Sealing Strip Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Loosen the outside rearview mirror attachment nuts.
2. Remove the screw from the front door outer belt seal, at the rear.
3. Tilt the outer belt seal outward and remove the outer belt seal.
4. Lift up on the outer belt seal starting at the rear and working forward.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the outer belt seal by sliding forward the end of the outer belt seal toward the front of the door.
2. Starting at the rear of the belt seal, push the belt seal down onto the flange until fully seated.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

3. Install the outer belt seal screw at the rear.

Tighten the screw to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

4. Tighten the outside rearview mirror attachment nuts.

Tighten the mirror nuts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
