Repositioning SIR Coil Assembly

NOTE: If coil assembly is not properly oriented to steering column assembly, the coil will be damaged.

IMPORTANT: If yellow tab is inadvertently removed during installation or removal and SIR coil hub has been rotated, SIR coil must be repositioned.




1. Gently rotate coil hub clockwise with tab removed until slight tension is present.
2. Gently rotate coil hub counterclockwise (count approximately five revolutions) until slight tension is present.
3. Gently rotate coil hub clockwise one half of the number of revolutions counted in step 2 (approximately 2.5 times).
4. Rotate smallest distance required to align yellow tab.
5. Install yellow tab. Use tape if tab is unavailable.
