Rear Legroom Duct, RH/LH

REMOVAL




1. Remove front seat outer shoulder belt outer valance.
2. Remove shoulder belt from seat frame.




3. Move seat to full forward position and remove front seat fasteners.
4. Pull seat assembly slightly rearward to disengage seat from front set track hooks.
5. Tilt seat rearward and disconnect seat wiring harnesses.
6. Remove seat from vehicle and place on clean protected work surface.




7. Gently pull on left and right side console extensions to remove extensions.




8. On power windows, using a small flat blade tool, gently pry upward on rear portion of the power window switch to partially disengage switch from console.
9. Disconnect power window switch harness from switch and remove power window switch.




10. Disengage console park brake boot by squeezing the boot in locations shown while pulling upward.
11. Lift park brake boot over park brake assembly.




12. Remove front console tray by pulling upward on tray assembly.
13. Disconnect console wiring harness from main body harness.




14. On automatic transmissions, pull up on PRNDL cover to disengage cover.




15. On 5-speed transmissions, pull up on shifter boot to disengage boot.




16. Move front seats to forward most position and remove rear console fasteners.
17. Move front seats to rearward most position and remove front console fasteners.
18. Gently lift console up and over shifter or PRNDL cover and remove console assembly.




19. Slide connector duct left/right adapter upward.




20. Remove carpet retainer.
21. Pull back carpet at driver's/passenger's foot well to expose duct.




22. Remove duct retainer at forward edge.
23. Pull up on duct to remove it from the rear mounting stud and remove duct.

INSTALLATION




1. Install duct over floor stud. Press down to engage duct onto stud.
2. Install retainer at forward edge of duct.




3. Slide connector duct adapter down to seal against rear duct.




4. Install front carpet by tucking under HVAC unit and under shift rod. Make sure carpet is properly placed to prevent wrinkles.
5. Position carpet retainer into vehicle.
6. Starting at rear of vehicle, snap carpet retainer into hinge pillar molding.
7. Position carpet retainer over remaining attaching clip locations.
8. Gently push on attaching clips to install carpet retainer.
9. Install weatherstrip over the carpet retainer using a flat blade tool.




10. Position console into vehicle. Route shifter/PRNDL boot through console opening.
11. Install front console fasteners.

Torque: 2.5 N.m (22 in-lbs)

12. Move front seats forward and install rear console fasteners.

Torque: 2.5 N.m (22 in-lbs)




13. On automatic transmissions, snap PRNDL cover into console opening.




14. On 5-speed transmissions, snap shifter boot into console opening.
15. Connect console wiring harness to main body harness.




16. Snap console front tray into console.
17. On power windows, connect power window harness to power window switch and snap switch into place.




18. Snap park brake boot into place.




19. Install console extensions.




20. Position seat into vehicle.
21. Tilt seat rearward and connect seat wiring harnesses.
22. Slide seat into forward tracks.
23. Apply Loctite(R) 242 Threadlocker (or equivalent) to seat fasteners and install seat fasteners.

Torque: 25 N.m (19 ft-lbs)

24. Install shoulder belt to seat frame.

Torque: 35 N.m (26 ft-lbs)

25. Install shoulder belt outer valance.
26. If equipped, function electrical seat components to ensure proper operation.
