Exhaust Resonator Pipe

REMOVAL

CAUTION: MAKE SURE VEHICLE IS PROPERLY SUPPORTED AND SQUARELY POSITIONED ON HOIST.





1. Raise vehicle on hoist.
2. Remove exhaust resonator to exhaust manifold pipe bolts.





3. Remove exhaust resonator pipe to rear muffler clamp.
4. Separate exhaust resonator pipe from rear muffler by pulling and twisting in opposite directions.





5. Remove exhaust resonator isolators.
6. Remove assembly.

INSTALLATION





1. Position exhaust resonator assembly into vehicle and install isolators.

IMPORTANT: Do not tighten clamp and crush exhaust pipe.





2. Slide rear muffler assembly onto exhaust resonator pipe and tighten clamp.





3. Install exhaust resonator to front exhaust manifold pipe bolts and tighten fasteners.
^ Torque: 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.)
4. Lower vehicle from hoist.
5. Start engine and check for exhaust leaks.
