Front Oil Pump Seal Replacement

1. Using a seal remover or screwdriver, pry out the oil seal.
a. Ensure that seal bore is clean and free of debris. Clean if necessary.

IMPORTANT: Always ensure that the oil pump cover is properly supported when installing the seal.





2. Install oil seal:
a. Using seal installer service tool J-35268-A to tap the front main oil seal into place.
b. Ensure that front main oil seal is fully and evenly seated.
c. Apply a thin film of oil to the new seal lip.
