Rear Intake Runner Replacement

TOOLS REQUIRED
- J-43914 Hose Clamp Pliers

REMOVAL




1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
2. Remove intake hose assembly.




3. Remove ECM electrical connectors.
4. Remove ECM bolts and ECM.

NOTE: Clamps are reusable if not damaged, do not discard.




5. Remove rubber boot hose clamps using J-43914 hose clamp pliers.




6. Disconnect brake vacuum hose.
7. Disconnect intake plenum switch-over valve vacuum hose at switch-over valve. Note hose routing.




8. Remove intake runner mounting bolts.
9. Disconnect intake runner from rubber boots and remove intake runner. Note throttle body vent hose routing under vacuum reservoir.

INSTALLATION




1. Install intake runner onto rubber boots.
2. Route throttle body vent hose under vacuum reservoir.
3. Install intake runner mounting bolts.
Torque: 20 N.m (15 ft-lbs)




4. Route intake plenum switch-over valve vacuum hose and connect to switch-over valve.




5. Connect brake vacuum line.
Torque: 20 N.m (15 ft-lbs)

IMPORTANT: Inspect hose clamps for damage, replace if damaged.

6. Install rubber boot hose clamps using J-43914 hose clamp pliers.




7. Install ECM and ECM bolts.
Torque: 8 N.m (71 in-lbs)




8. Install air cleaner inlet hose assembly.
9. Connect negative battery cable.
