Front Park Brake Cable

REMOVAL





1. Disengage console park brake boot by squeezing boot on sides while pulling upward.





2. Remove park brake adjuster nut.

CAUTION: MAKE SURE VEHICLE IS PROPERLY SUPPORTED AND SQUARELY POSITIONED ON HOIST.

3. Raise vehicle on hoist.





4. Disconnect exhaust resonator from exhaust manifold pipe.





5. Remove exhaust pipe to body isolators.
6. Lower exhaust resonator pipe and muffler assembly from vehicle.





7. Remove exhaust heat shield.





8. Remove front park brake cable from equalizer.
9. Remove front park brake cable from vehicle.

INSTALLATION
1. Install front park brake cable into equalizer and thread into lever assembly.





2. Lower vehicle and install park brake lever adjuster nut and take up slack in cable.

CAUTION: MAKE SURE VEHICLE IS PROPERLY SUPPORTED AND SQUARELY POSITIONED ON HOIST.

3. Raise vehicle on hoist.





4. Install exhaust heat shield.
Torque: 4 Nm (35 inch lbs.)





5. Install exhaust onto vehicle and tighten resonator to exhaust manifold pipe fasteners.
Torque: 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.)
6. Lower vehicle from hoist.
7. Adjust park brake cable.
