Garnish Molding Replacement - Quarter Window Upper

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the cargo shade.




2. Remove the cargo cover side molding. Refer to Cargo Area Side Trim Panel Replacement (Cargo Area Side Trim Panel Replacement) .




3. Remove the rear seat upper shoulder belt fastener cover.
4. Remove the rear seat upper shoulder belt fastener to remove the shoulder belt.
5. Starting at the front edge of the molding, pull at the attaching clips to remove the molding assembly.



Installation Procedure






Caution: Apply Loctite 242(R) Threadlocker US P/N 12345382 (Canadian P/N 10953489), or equivalent, on all restraint bolts/nuts before installation. Failure to use such threadlocker correctly may result in personal injury.

1. Position the side molding at the attaching clips.
2. Secure the side molding by pushing gently at the clip locations.




3. Install the cargo cover molding assembly. Refer to Cargo Area Side Trim Panel Replacement (Cargo Area Side Trim Panel Replacement) .

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.





4. Install the upper shoulder belt fastener.

Tighten the rear shoulder belt upper fasteners to 35 N.m (26 lb/ft)

5. Snap the upper shoulder belt fastener cover into place.
6. Raise the rear seat back assembly.
7. Apply the weatherstrip over the front and rear of the side molding using a flat-blade tool.




8. Install the cargo shade.
9. Function the shoulder belt assembly to assure the proper operation.
