Instrument Panel Insulator Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the HVAC Module. Refer to HVAC Module Removal and Overhaul procedure in HVAC.
2. Remove the inner dash panel insulator fasteners

Important: Cutting the old dash panel insulator, at the top of the pass-through opening on driver's side will allow the dash panel to be removed without having to disconnect the wiring harnesses.


3. Remove the inner dash panel insulator.



Installation Procedure

1. Cut the new dash panel insulator.
2. Install the dash panel insulator into the vehicle. Make sure to route the wiring harnesses through opening on driver's side of dash panel insulator.
3. Apply weatherstrip adhesive to the backside of the dash panel insulator on both sides of the area where the cut was made.
4. Install the dash panel insulator fasteners.
5. Install the HVAC module. Refer to HVAC Module Removal
and Overhaul procedure in HVAC.
