Rear Floor Panel Carpet Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the rear seat cushion.
2. Remove the carpet retainer. Refer to Carpet Retainer Replacement (Carpet Retainer Replacement) .
Important: Removal of the front seat is not required.
3. Remove front seat bolts.
4. Remove the center console extensions by pulling gently at the fastener location.
5. Remove the center console fasteners.
6. Tilt front seats and console upward to allow carpet to be removed from under seat and console.
7. Remove the carpet from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
1. Tilt the front seats and the console upward.
2. Install the rear carpet in the vehicle making sure that the carpet is properly fit under the front seat and console.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
Important: Use Loctite 242(R) Threadlocker (or equivalent) on thread of pinch bolt.
3. Lower the front seats and install the front seat fasteners.
Tighten the seat attachment bolts to 25 N.m (19 lb in).
4. Lower the console and install the console fasteners.
Tighten the console fasteners to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).
5. Install the console extensions.
6. Install the carpet retainer by positioning the carpet retainer into the vehicle and snapping it into the hinge pillar molding.
7. Gently push at the attaching clip locations to install the carpet retainer.
8. Install the rear seat cushion.
