Front Floor Panel Carpet Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the front seats. Refer to the Front Seat Removal.




2. Remove the center console .Refer to Center console Removal.




3. Remove hinge pillar molding. refer to Hinge Pillar Trim Removal procedure in this section of the service manual.




4. Remove the carpet retainer. Refer to Carpet Retainer Removal .




5. Remove the carpet retaining fastener from the driver side.
6. Observe the carpet cut under the right side of the HVAC module. Continue to cut the carpet enough to remove the carpet from the HVAC module.
7. Remove the carpet from the vehicle.



Installation Procedure





1. Cut the replacement carpet in the same location as the removed carpet.
2. Install the front carpet in the vehicle tucking the carpet under the HVAC module and under the shift rod. Make sure that the carpet is properly placed to prevent wrinkles.
3. Install the driver side carpet retaining fastener.




4. Install the hinge pillar. Refer to Hinge Pillar Trim Installation.




5. Install the carpet retainer. Refer to Carpet Retainer Installation.




6. Install the center console. Refer to Center Console Installation.




7. Install the seats. Refer to the Front Seat Installation.
