Rear Compartment Lid Hinge Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the rear compartment lid. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Replacement (Rear Compartment Lid Replacement) .
2. Remove the rear compartment lid hinge springs marking the location with a wax pencil.
3. Remove the rear window shelf panel. Refer to Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement (Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement) in Interior Trim.




4. Remove the hinge to body bolt.




5. Disconnect the wiring harness from the left hinge.




6. Remove the hinge from the rear window shelf panel.



Installation Procedure





1. Position the hinge to the rear window shelf panel.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the bolt to the hinge at the rear shelf panel.

Tighten the bolts to 25 N.m (19 lb ft).





3. Install the rear compartment lid hinge springs.
4. Install the rear compartment lid. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Replacement (Rear Compartment Lid Replacement) .




5. Connect the wiring harness to the left hinge.
6. Install the rear window shelf panel. Refer to Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement (Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement) in Interior Trim.
