Hood Secondary Latch Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Open and support the hood.
2. Remove the hood secondary latch lever rivet by using a metal saw or a cut-off wheel.
3. Remove the rivet, the spring, and the lever.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the hood secondary latch lever, the spring, and the rivet.
2. Flatten the end of the rivet to secure in place by using clamp-nose vise grip pliers or a hammer and dolly.
3. Inspect the secondary latch for proper operation.
