Rear Side Door Check Link Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the rear door inner panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement (Service and Repair) .
2. Partially remove the rear door water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement Service and Repair
3. Remove the check link bolt at the hinge pillar.




4. Remove the door check link nuts from the door frame.
5. Remove the check link from the door.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the check link to the door frame.
2. Verify all seals are properly positioned.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.


Important: Be careful not to damage door sound insulator.


3. Install the door check link nuts.

Tighten nuts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).





4. Install the check link bolt.

Tighten the bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

5. Install the rear door water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement (Service and Repair) .
6. Install the rear door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement Service and Repair
