Rear Bumper Impact Bar Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the rear fascia. Refer to Rear Bumper Fascia Removal.
2. Remove the rear energy absorber. Refer to Rear Bumper Energy Absorber Removal.
3. Remove the nuts from the rear bumper impact bar studs.
4. Remove the rear bumper impact bar assembly.
5. Remove the mastic washers from the rear bumper impact bar studs.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the mastic washers on the rear bumper impact bar studs to prevent the impact bar contact to body, and water leaks.
2. Install the rear bumper impact bar to body.
3. Install the nuts to rear bumper impact bar studs.

Tighten the rear bumper impact bar-to-body nuts to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).

4. Install the rear energy absorber. Refer to Rear Bumper Energy Absorber Installation.
5. Install the rear fascia. Refer to Rear Bumper Fascia Installation.
