Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Raise the rear compartment lid or lift gate.
2. Remove the plastic retainers from the bumper filler.




3. On wagon models, remove the plastic retainers from the fascia next to the tail lamp.




4. Remove the plastic retainers from the rear wheelhouse panel to the fascia.
5. Remove the bolts from the rear wheelhouse panel to the fascia.
6. Remove the fascia by sliding rearward.



Installation Procedure





1. If installing a new fascia, transfer the rear bumper fascia outer reinforcement and filler.
2. Install the fascia over the bumper assembly. Engage the fascia ends (key slots) over the stubs extending down from the quarter panel and push the fascia forward to lock the fascia quarter panels.
3. Install the plastic retainers to the bumper filler.




4. On wagon models, install the plastic retainers to the fascia next to the tail lamp.
5. Install the bolts from the rear wheelhouse panel to the fascia.
6. Install the plastic fasteners from the rear wheelhouse panel to the fascia.
7. Close the rear compartment lid or lift gate.
