Instrument Panel and Console Radio Ground Strap
REMOVAL1. Remove Center Trim Plate.
a. Grab trim plate at A/C vent area and pull gently to disengage attaching clips.
b. Tilt trim plate sideways.
c. Disconnect driver heated seat/fog switch, hazard switch, and traction/passenger heated seat switch electrical connectors and remove trim plate.
2. Remove radio screws.
3. Pull radio out slightly to access rear of radio.
4. Disconnect radio ground strap spade terminal, electrical connector(s), and antenna from rear of radio.
5. Remove radio.
6. Remove the nut attaching radio ground strap ring terminal to H-Brace behind radio.
7. Remove radio ground strap.
INSTALLATION
1. Connect nut attaching the radio ground strap ring terminal to the H-Brace behind the radio.
Torque: 6 N.m (53 in-lbs)
2. Connect radio ground strap spade terminal, electrical connector(s), and antenna to rear of radio.
3. Install radio.
4. Install and tighten screws.
Torque: 2.5 N.m (22 in-lbs)
5. Install center trim plate.
a. Tilt trim plate sideways.
b. Connect driver heated seat/fog switch, hazard switch, and traction/passenger heated seat switch electrical connectors.
c. Snap center trim plate into I/P by gently engaging the attachment clips.
