Reinstallation of Removed Parts From Harness Installation
IMPORTANT: Ensure that I/P harness connector, antenna connector, and the ground strap connector are connected.61. Install radio.
62. Install glove compartment.
a. Install glove compartment bin partially into opening.
b. Secure BCM to glove compartment bin slots.
c. Route glove compartment lamp wiring harness to the lamp opening and connect wiring harness to glove compartment lamp.
d. Snap lamp into glove compartment bin.
e. Install glove compartment bin to I/P with fasteners.
Torque: 2.5 N.m (22 in-lbs)
f. Install heater outlet with retainer to glove compartment bin.
g. Install right lower I/P closeout panel (hush panel) with retainers.
h. Install glove compartment door with fasteners.
Torque: 2 N.m (18 in-lbs)
i. Operate glove compartment lamp and glove compartment door to assure proper operation.
63. Install right hinge pillar molding (kick panel).
a. Slide hinge pillar molding into carpet retainer.
b. Position hinge pillar molding to body and install by pushing gently at clip location.
c. Install hinge pillar molding upper push pin fastener.
d. Install fuse box door.
e. Install weatherstrip over hinge pillar molding cover using a flat blade tool.
64. Install right side carpet retainer (sill plate).
a. Position carpet retainer into vehicle.
b. Starting at rear of vehicle, slide carpet retainer under rear seat cushion.
c. Position carpet retainer over remaining attaching clip locations.
d. Gently push on attaching clips to install carpet retainer.
e. Install weatherstrip over carpet retainer using a flat blade tool.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT REAR SEAT SHOULDER BELT IS NOT CAUGHT BEHIND BOLSTER WHEN INSTALLING BOLSTER.
IMPORTANT: If leather rear seat cushion was removed, install it after installing right rear seat bolster.
65. Install right rear seat cushion bolster.
a. Position rear seat bolster onto upper bolster attachment.
b. Push down on bolster to engage upper attachment and install over retaining tab.
c. Bend lower retainer tab over bolster wire frame at rear seat cushion location.
IMPORTANT: If the vehicle is a sedan, proceed to step 68.
