Body CD Jumper Installation




16. Remove right side carpet retainer (sill plate).
a. Move front seat to forward most position.
b. Starting at front of vehicle, remove carpet retainer by gently pulling on retainer at attaching clip locations.

IMPORTANT: If leather seats, move rear seat cushion forward before removing bolster to avoid damage to leather. If the seat is not leather, movement is not necessary.







17. Remove right rear seat bolster.
a. Reach down into the outer corner of rear seat cushion to expose bolster retainer tab.
b. Bend tab upward.
c. Starting at the bottom, pull forward to disengage bolster from retainer tab, then pull upward to disengage upper attachment.

IMPORTANT: If the vehicle is a wagon, proceed to step 19.




18. Remove rear compartment side carpet (sedan only).
a. Flip rear compartment floor carpet away from right side of vehicle.
b. Remove rear compartment side carpet fasteners as shown in illustration.
c. Remove side carpet assembly.
d. Proceed to step 20, if vehicle is a sedan.




19. Remove rear cargo area side carpet (wagon only).
a. Remove cargo shade.
b. Lower rear seat back assembly.




c. Gently pull at attaching clip locations and remove cargo shade side molding.




d. Remove rear load floor.
1. Flip load floor side-wing(s) upwards.
2. Lift load floor upwards.
3. Slide load floor tabs out of front load floor assembly.
4. Lift load floor out of vehicle.




e. Remove cargo net fasteners.




f. Gently pull at Clip locations and remove rear cargo area side carpet.




20. Route Body CD jumper along the right side of vehicle starting at area between rear scat and rear compartment (sedan) or rear cargo area (wagon).
21. Route Body CD jumper connector through hole found beneath right rear seat bolster (for a sedan) or route jumper around rear seat support bracket (for a wagon) and put enough of the harness through to reach CD changer/player location.

NOTE: Make sure the Body CD jumper is lined lip correctly with holes before attaching them. The clips are easily damaged when removed.

22. Install Body CD jumper to vehicle starting with jumper clip nearest the CD changer/player connector. Attach all of the other clips as you route the Body CD jumper to rear seat area.




23. Route Body CD jumper along rear seat and install jumper to vehicle using attachment clips.
24. Open harness channel found in right inner rocker panel area and install Body CD jumper.
25. After installing harness, close harness channel.




26. Connect Body CD jumper connector to I/P CD jumper connector which was routed earlier and is located near the right I/P fuse block (RIPFB) area.
27. Connect Body CD jumper connector to RIPFB using the rosebud clip on the connector.

IMPORTANT: If the vehicle is a wagon, proceed to step 50.
