The body control module (BCM) and the PCM (L61) monitors the Class II data link circuit 1807 for short to ground conditions. Devices on the Class II data link are connected in a ring configuration.

DTC Parameters
^ Ignition On.
^ Circuit 1807 shorted to ground.
^ Conditions exist for greater than 2 seconds.

Diagnostic AIDS
^ Inspect wiring harness for damage. Check for broken or chaffed insulation.
^ If fault is suspected to be intermittent, wiggling harness wiring may help in locating fault.
^ The SDM sets DTC U1300 for both a Class II link low and high fault. Therefore, if the data link is shorted-to-battery, the SDM will set DTC U1300 while all other modules set DTC U1301.
