P1669

The ECM in a non-ABS vehicle is programmed differently than an ECM in an ABS vehicle. Some inputs are different. DTC P1669 will set if an ECM that is programmed for ABS is installed in a vehicle without ABS.

DTC PARAMETERS
This DTC will set when:
^ ABS programmed ECM installed in non-ABS equipped vehicle
^ Engine speed greater than 160 rpm
^ Condition exist for longer than 2 seconds

DTC P1669 is a (type D) DTC.

DIAGNOSTIC AIDS
Check for loop connections or damaged wires between the ABS module and ECM.

If vehicle not equipped with ABS, reprogram ECM to indicate ABS not present.
