Schematic:

The 1-2 shift solenoid valve (1-2 SS Valve) is a normally open exhaust valve that in conjunction with the 2-3 shift solenoid valve (2-3 SS Valve), allows four different shifting combinations. The 1-2 SS Valve is attached to the control valve body, within the transaxle. The TCM monitors the actual gear ratio and compares the actual gear ratio with the commanded gear ratio. DTC P0752 sets under these conditions: A stuck ON 1-2 SS Valve, or a stuck ON 1-2 Shift Valve.

When the TCM detects an actual gear ratio that does not agree with the commanded gear, 1st gear ratio in 2nd and 4th gear ratio in 3rd, then DTC P0752 sets. DTC P0752 is a type B DTC.

- Gear range is D4, D3, D2 or D1
- TPS greater than 8%
- Vehicle speed greater than 8 km/h (5 mph)
- Trans temperature between 21°C (70°F) and 130°C (266°F)
- Engine torque greater than 10 ft-lbs
- No throttle position codes
- No input speed sensor codes
- No output speed sensor codes
- No TFP codes
- No shift solenoid electrical codes
