The A/C refrigerant pressure sensor is monitored continuously. If the voltage on the sensor signal circuit is greater than a calibrated high value, this DTC will set.

DTC PARAMETERS
DTC P0533 will set when:
^ Sensor signal voltage less than 4.8 volts
^ Engine is running

DTC P0533 is a (type D) DTC.

DIAGNOSTIC AIDS
To locate an intermittent problem, use the Scan tool to monitor A/C High Side Pressure with engine running.

Wiggling wires while monitoring A/C High Side Pressure may locate the area where a short to ground exists.
