OPTION CONFIGURATION ERROR
Replacement electronic brake and traction control modules (EBTCMs) require programming of the memory with the correct options. The programming is performed with a scan tool. The EBTCM requires the engine and transaxle options to be set for traction control operation.

CODE PARAMETERS
DTC C0551 will set if:
^ The EBTCM has not been programmed with the correct engine and transaxle options.
^ When this trouble code sets the EBTCM will disable traction control.

DIAGNOSTIC AIDS
^ Program the correct engine and transaxle options in the EBTCM.
^ The EBTCM must be programmed with the correct engine and transaxle options. A new EBTCM comes with DTC C0551 programmed in it. To clear DTC C0551, program the EBTCM with the correct engine and transaxle options.
