C0110
PUMP MOTOR MALFUNCTION
The pump motor is an integral part of the brake pressure modulator valve (BPMV), while the pump motor relay is integral to the electronic brake and traction control module (EBTCM). The pump motor relay is not activated and the pump motor does not run during normal brake system operation. When ABS or TCS operation is required the EBTCM activates the pump motor relay and battery power is provided to the pump motor.
CODE PARAMETERS
DTC C0110 will set if:
^ Pump motor voltage is not present 60 ms after activation of the pump motor relay.
^ Pump motor voltage is present for more than 2.5 seconds with no activation of the pump motor relay.
^ Pump motor voltage is not present for 40 ms after the pump motor relay is commanded Off. (Pump slow down monitoring.)
^ When this trouble code sets the EBTCM will disable ABS and Traction Control and turn ON the antilock telltale
DIAGNOSTIC AIDS
^ It is very important to thoroughly inspect wiring components and connectors. Failure to carefully and fully inspect wiring and connectors may result in misdiagnosis, causing part replacement with reappearance of the malfunction.
^ The pump motor and components are not serviceable. Replacing the EBTCM with brake pressure modulator is the only repair possible.
